I got up early on a Sunday morning recently, intent on making a good photo of the east side of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C.
Most photos that you see of the Capitol building are of the west side, which faces the National Mall. That’s where presidents are sworn in and many other public events occur. However, the east side has its own majesty.
This is one of the photos I made. As you can see, it was taken during the morning “Blue Hour,” just before sunrise.
